The Jeju 4·3 Peace Foundation was established to promote additional fact clarification on Jeju 4·3 and restore the honor of the victims and their bereaved families. We aim to contribute to the improvement of human rights, democracy and national reconciliation through the successful performance of our tasks. We are also committed to infusing the island of Jeju with the spirit of reconciliation and mutual benefit so that it can become an “Island of World Peace.” In doing so, we will help overcome the past ideological conflicts regarding Jeju 4·3. In the same context, we will do our utmost to promote prosperity of the traditional culture of the Jeju community.
